Q. What is Giving Day?

The Giving Day is an annual 24-hour giving campaign that inspires alumni, students, friends, faculty and staff, and supporters to come together, show their pride in alma mater, and provide essential funding to support current and future students. This annual event shines a spotlight on giving to St. Elizabeth School and creates a sense of energy around philanthropy to better enhance our community.


Q. When is Giving Day?

In celebration of our school's patron saint, St. Benedict, Giving Day will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024.


Q. What is GiveGab?

GiveGab is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy to use products that allows organizations to function in a more streamlined manner.


Q. Who can donate?

Anyone may donate. Your donation through the GiveGab online portal is tax-deductible and cannot be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit card. Donations will be received and receipted by GiveGab.


Q. How much of my donation goes to the nonprofit?

GiveGab retains a 3.5% campaign management fee from all donations. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to the receiving organization. All donations are final and cannot be refunded. Any donations processed outside of St. Elizabeth Giving Day donation period, through GiveGab.com, or subsequent recurring donations are subject to transaction fees outlined on the GiveGab.com pricing page: http://info.givegab.com/pricing.


Q. Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?

Yes. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt acknowledging your gift.


Q. Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No. You do not need to create an account to make a donation. The benefits of creating an account include having your tax receipts collected in one location, being able to track your donations, follow the charities you support, and engage in future volunteering and donations. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.


Q. Is there a minimum gift?

Yes. There is a $10 minimum donation.


Q. What if I already made a gift to St. Elizabeth this year?

Thank you for being part of the St. Elizabeth donor family! We appreciate your commitment and encourage you to make an additional gift of any size on March 21st. We also need your help to promote Giving Day to others.


Q. Can I help promote Giving Day?

Please do! We encourage you to share the images and messages located in our Downloads page. Send an email to classmates, post on your Facebook page and other social media accounts. It's all encouraged!


Q. Can I use my employer's matching gifts funds?

Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer's generosity to enhance the impact of your support at St. Elizabeth School. To see if your company offers this benefit or to learn more about your company's guidelines, visit our matching gift portal.
